I found this recipe at allrecipes.com. It seemed tested and tried, so I gave it a shot too. Like many others, I cut the sugar in half and the bananas I had were really large, so I thought two would be enough. It turned out great, so great that there is hardly any left now...
Chocolate banana bread
Makes 1 loaf
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, soft
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 bananas
1 tsp vanilla
1,5 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
2 Tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Directions
- Set oven to 175 C.1/2 cup butter, soft
1/2 cup sugar

Directions
- Cream butter, sugar and eggs.
- Stir in mashed bananas and vanilla.
- Sift in flour, baking soda and cocoa; mix well.
- Blend in sour cream and chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake in preheated oven for at least 60 minutes.Mine took maybe 1 hour and 15 minutes, but that depends on you oven.

ReplyDeleteIn addition to food donation, we have fruit trees at YWAM Grimerud. And in addition to that, we get food-donations from other people´s fruit trees. I have been «flittig» and have pealed, pitted and frozen a lot of plums for us to make smoothies form for the rest of the year. You might be able to get some next time you come visit.
