Eat.Pray.Love

I have not watched the movie, but my roommate did, and I asked her how it was, since I have seen reviews and comments about it everywhere. Her answer: "The movie in itself is pretty good, but the message is extremely selfish."

Selfishness has come up several times the past days: friends who want to stop doing things out of selfish motives, others talking about focusing more on other people rather than themselves, and an article in Relevant Magazine where Shane Hipps asks: "Is Facebook Killing Our Souls?" and points to the narcissism and self-consumption of our culture and digital world.

I dont want my soul to die because of selfishness... I want it to live and prosper! But that wont happen unless I actively eat, pray and love:

Eat.
When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart's delight, for I bear your name, O LORD God Almighty. Jeremiah 15:16

Pray
... ask and it will be given to you. Luke 11:9
This, then, is how you should pray: 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Matt.6:8-10

Love
... is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking! 1.Cor.13:4-5
