Two years ago I went on a team trip to Denmark and brought back this recipe |
Ingredients: sunflower seeds, flour, eggs, yeast, creme fraiche |
and grated carrots! |
Look at that face! |
Add some healthy goodness |
Some flour action |
Mix it all up |
Let them rest and grow for half an hour |
The result: tasty carrot buns! |
And the details:
50 g yeast
2 dl water
100 g fromage fraise
2 Tbs sugar
1 dl sunflower seeds
200 g carrots
1 tsp salt
4,5 dl flour (I used more though)
Mix the yeast with warm water, add the dairy (I actually used buttermilk, cause thats what I had, and it worked fine!), sugar, sunflower seeds, carrots and salt. Lastly, add enough flour to make a firm dough. Shape into ten buns, let them rise for 30 minutes before cooking at 200 C for 20 minutes or so - easy!
This is actually a rather quick project since it only calls for one round of rising dough, not too bad for these tasty things.
