ReStyle Monday: A white chair

Before: Wooden chair.

My previous landlords were so very kind to give me four of these dining chairs when I moved out.

But there are a lot of different types of wood for my one room kitchen/dining room/living room, so I decided to experiment a little. This first one got a few coats of white paint (the same that was used for home projects here and here) and I like it.

After: Clean, white and bright!

I am thinking of reupholstering the seat as well, the plant is just a temporary accessory...

It is Monday and GOfest is over and my schedule for today reads "laziness" with capital letters, but I will be back later with more on the festival.

ReStyle: Up-beat side table

Before: This little side table looked like it had taken a beating or two. 

I found it and brought it home and didnt treat it too well myself. 

(It was placed on the balcony to endure all kinds of weather... dont tell anyone!)

Preparing: Sanding is smart before a few coats of paint. 

After: A fresh and clean look. 

I liked the idea of bare legs, especially since the weather is really hot around here these days, 

and it gives the table a more up-beat look, dont you think?

Most of my time off is spent out on this balcony lately:

 talking, eating, drinking iced coffee and/or painting. 

Its the best place to hang out with friends!
